Wild Shaman Intro
It's time to learn a new way of being in the world that bridges ancestral wisdom and today's society.
This journey weaves together ancestral & indigenous perspectives, Nature Awareness Skills, and core motifs of Shamanism.
It's learning and experiencing the ways of apprenticing to Nature (land, plants, animals weather) and the spirits directly. It's a path of returning to Sacred Belonging with land, the cyclic web of life and with the unique gifts you have to contribute.
By apprenticing to nature through ancestral perspectives, we discover how to make the shift from an adversarial approach to life to a collaborative and relational way of nourishing what sustains us and tending to what we love and value.​

It’s offered as an experiential learning process. Through videos, audios and articles you’ll gain the core knowledge base and then be invited to journey into nature to experience the principles first hand.
We’ll gather around the virtual fireside (zoom) twice a month to pool our learnings and experiences together and hence be part of a more traditional collaborative learning.

You'll have one-on-one mentorship throughout the journey to help you dial in and tailor the journey to your passions and intentions.
What You Learn
This path is learning how to learn from an ancestral perspective. It’s learning how to shift from an adversarial approach to life to a relational way of being part of the cyclic web of nature.

In this you’ll gain a deeper relationship with the plants, animals and birds of your area. You’ll cultivate a more intimate relationship with the land, eco systems, and terrain.
Learn in a traditional way called Wild Land Dreaming and experience what it is to be dreamt by the land itself.
You'll go out into nature weekly and be shown how to apprentice yourself to the plants, animals, and eco-systems. You'll not just learn to identify plants, bird language and animal signs but how to be in relationship and part of the conversation nature is having. It's an ancestral way of connecting and belonging to place where instead of us stewarding the land we allow the land to steward us.

By apprenticing to nature, we learn how to be in the world, how to tend to our relationships, to nurture our own path in relationship with the greater whole. Nature reveals how to mature into our essence and live in a good way.
Learning The Unteachable
The original understanding is Shamanism isn't something that can be taught.
The unteachable learnings are those wisdom, knowledge, and stories that become available to you by walking the journey. They’re hidden in the way we tend to fire, or what becomes known to you as you track wolf or bear, or through the relationship you cultivate with sword fern or the nuances of the sun breaking open into the day.
There are some learnings that will only ever be known to you and the mountain... to you and fox.
We’re not here to teach you, but to provide you the old ways of connecting and sharing the right etiquette so the unteachable becomes known to you and hence becomes your own.
We’re inviting people to join our sense of play, reverence, and deep mythic connection to nature. It’s a remembering, a healing, an ecstatic way of being in the world as we heal the wounded threads of life tapestry.
It’s inviting you into the story.. the drum and song and ritual… it’s inviting you to gather around the fire and apprentice to the trees, rivers, animals and fire itself. It’s returning to a mythic mind and honoring how we’re part of nature.

Every part of this journey serves to help you cultivate your gifts, awarenesses, skills, and understandings of living in the world in a wakeful and dynamic way where you are part of the conversations with spirit. You'll have the tools and knowing to engage with spirit and the influential energies affecting us cyclically.

We begin Friday night with a council fire at 6pm

Sunday we'll wrap up with parting ritual by 4pm.
What You Need
This is a primitive camp base. You'll be camping Friday and Saturday night. Bring tent, sleeping bag, food/snacks, day pack, water bottle. We'll provide a more detail list once enrolled.
