Three Day Shamanic WildernessJourney for Men

Enter the forest and nourish the Soul of the Wild One

This is a nourishing, humbling and empowering weekend designed for men to reconnect with nature, with yourself, and with a camaraderie of men.

Join us on a three day journey into an old growth forest surrounding Mt Rainier of Washington State with a group of men where we’ll allow the animals to guide us, allow the river’s song unravel lessons that the silent part of us have been yearning for, and where the forest reveals the myths and stories wanting to dream through us.

You'll experience a mysterious rites of passage where you’ll experience heightening your senses, deepening your connection with nature and harnessing the Wild One within.  Through this Rites of Passage you will discover a greater ability to step into the unknown with confidence.  Through this weekend you'll discover how to extend this ability into the unknowns of your life.

The rhythm of the drum while we gather around the fire gives voice to the spirits and the wild one speaking from that silent place within us

We'll awaken a sense of play as we maneuver through forests, cross rivers, crawl along animals paths, and allow our child-like wonder take over our senses.

There will be drumming, there will be fire rituals, there will be shapeshifting into a deer, a salmon, and an owl and discovering how to bring their medicine into our lives.

You’ll experience the ancestors of the land and the spirits of the forest… you’ll experience releasing the wild man’s call vibrating just beneath the surface of the soul’s skin.

In this retreat we leave the human realm behind.  Here, it’s the old bones of the Mountain as teacher… the swift flight of Raven as guide.  Here we enter ancestor time where it speeds up and slows down, expands and contracts in accordance to the medicine our souls is ready to receive.

We can’t share all the details of what you’ll experience as the surprise is the power and magic of the retreat. However, As we journey through this ancient wilderness we organically weave together an inspired tapestry of wisdom and practical skills.  You’ll learn the practice of shamanic sense meditation, learn bird language, and learn the art of shamanic ritual.

We'll practice animal forms.  Explore the wisdom of Deer who reveals how to listen and deliberately navigate our path... Explore Owl medicine and discover what's on the edge of our vision attempting to probe us into deeper way of life... Explore Salmon who reveals how to flow and navigate resistance with minimal effort .

You'll experience a powerful journey, awakening a sense of adventure and playfulness, connecting with other men, tapping into the Wild One within, and stirring the remembrances of your soul expression wanting to dream through you.

The wilderness vigil is something immeasurably ancient, and the way our ancestors tuned their ear to the furry emanations of the living earth.

The wilderness vigil is a moment when the grinding of your ambitions and your griefs settle into the ground of something far deeper. This is always the place we have gone to mark transition – from one stage of life to another.  Tribal folk have always known it was where you go to die and get born. A place where big questions get asked, things bend their heads to die and green shoots spring up.
