Primitive Shamanic Camp

Experience a week living in a primitive Shamanic Lifestyle

This is a 5 day Shamanic Wilderness Retreat located at our primitive camp at the base of Mt Adams.

This retreat weaves together Primitive Scout Skills & living via Ancestral Perspectives that reveal the practices of connecting with the raw primal spirits of nature. You'll experience The Way of Council and other cultural elements that establish an "intact" village dynamic.

You will experience grounding in a deeper relationship with Nature, others and the Spiritual “Relatives.”

You will learn how to bring these mindsets into practical ways of living in your modern lifestyle.

Come experience Forest Shamanism in the wilderness and live in a shamanic primitive camp. Experience the day-to-day lifestyle of primitive shamanic living.

Shamanism is meant to be learned in a traditional manner.  You learn it outdoors where you connect with the ancestral spirits and raw elemental energies of the land.

It’s an awareness that awakens and takes hold within through the profound experiences of being immersed amongst the unseen but deeply felt influences of the elements, the flows, the cycles, and spirits.

It’s recognizing the patterns and principles of nature are also expressed through us.  It’s learning how to perceive them and influence them to maintain greater connection, flow and balance.

This is not a course on “how to be a shaman” or instructorship, but rather a way of experiencing nature & shamanic living, much as our ancestors did so long ago.

The How

You’ll experience the cultural ways of being part of a village including Way of The Council, daily chores such as harvesting water with ritual, primitive fire making, and cooking on an open fire.  We’ll work together as a village while honoring the sacred ways of living in relationship with the land, water, animals and what sustains us.

Each day we journey into the forest and practice the ways of the shamanic scout through tracking, harvesting plants, and reading the signs and flows of nature & spirit.  In this way we come into an intimate relationship as we become part of the conversations nature is having all around us.  It’s a deeply profound experience.

We provide food of the local land such as elk & venison, duck eggs (when possible), and foraged plants such as nettle and fern heads when in season. (Vegetarian Options Available) We balance this with locally grown foods to provide a balance diet.  In short, while this is a primitive retreat, you will also eat well.

The Invisible School Method

We share in a more traditional manner.  You learn by doing and experiencing as you journey.  We weave together the lessons throughout the day so you’re learning without recognizing how much you’re learning.  While there are core skills you’ll learn such as fire by friction and shelter, most of what you learn is through storytelling, direct experience, and living the “way” while you’re here.  Instead of learning, you experience a sense of remembering.
